Woooooow.

So, a couple months have gone by since my last post. Sorry about that. So, let's get caught up, shall we?

Not a whole lot has been going on with me (no surprise there!), except my twelfth birthday was November 30. Yay! But that's about it, I wish I had something more interesting to talk about.

Books: Oooh, so for a while there, I wasn't reading a whole lot, mainly because I couldn't find any good books that we already own, and I haven't been getting many chances to buy a new one. But I found an extremely amazing book at Wal-Mart last Wednesday. It's Summerhill Secrets: Volume One, by Beverly Lewis. She really is a great author, I had heard about her but never read any of her books. But I'm really glad I read this one. I reeeeallly want to get the second volume. It's a christian book, obviously geared toward teen\preteen girls. I really, extremely love this series. You should definitely check it out. I forgot how much I've missed reading :)

Movies: Recent movies really haven't been that great, have they? But I went to see the new movie 'The Blindside' a couple weeks ago with my best friend and her mom and sister. I really, really loved it. I'm not a very good review-er so you can read a review from a christian perspective here.

Hey!
Do you remember awhile back when I posted a random update-ish post and I mentioned something called Etsy? Okay, well that's what this post is about, but I don't want to explain Etsy all over again so you can read it here.

Anyway, so I started a shop. Its actually my mom, sisters and I but it's only the stuff I made on it so far. It's called Designedly. Once again, you can find it by clicking on this. The Freedom Writers Diary

Hey hey!
Long time no talk\type\blog\comment\...nevermind. Sorry I haven't blogged in foreverr! I would blog more its just my life is really boring. blehh.

But anyway, I was just writing a little update to let you know I'm still here, but then I thought about this book I'm reading called The Freedom Writers Diary (there's also a movie but the book is MUCH better.) The title Freedom Writers may ring a bell considering in May of1961 during all the racism going on in the united states (elsewhere, too? I'm not sure.) Some African-American's and Caucasian's got together to travel on bus(es?) throughout the south, calling themselves the Freedom Riders. But anyway, this post isn't meant to be a history lesson :P. So the Freedom Writers were located in Long Beach, California (by the way this is all taking place in the 90's). A class of high schoolers growing up surronded with drugs, violence and racism. Then came Erin Gruwell. A new teacher at Wilson high school. To make a long story short(er), these kids were not very fond of Ms. Gruwell at first. Until she gave them books like The Diary of Anne Frank and Zlata's Diary (A childs life in Sarajevo). Both about teenagers growing up around war and hatred. The people in that classroom (room 203) all became like a family. There was no racism among those kids. And eventually they would publish their own book.
Outside the classroom was hate and violence. People getting killed just because of the color of their skin. "An undeclared war" was what many of the diary entries said. I don't want to give away the whole book though, so you could try your library (warning there is bad language in the book.)

The point of this post is (which I'm sure you're wondering by now) is this;

Think about it...these kids grew up with nothing. Some even had to sleep on the floor. They took the risk of being shot everyday just walking out their front door...

I don't know if this was at all a helpful post in any way, but its better than my usual posts ;]

Ok sorry. For like, half a minute I was just sitting there. Wow this post must be so interesting -_-.
I'm just going to be completely random. Who has heard of Etsy? It's really awesome. Its like, you set up an account, and you can sell your handmade crafts and stuff! :D My mom and sister and I are going to set up one and if it goes good and we sell stuff we'll probably each branch out and do our own shop. :) ok so you really didn't need to know that.

Since this post is really boring I'm just going to cut it off right here. Sorry girls!

Newww Music!

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to let you know, I've added some new music in my playlist down at the bottom of the blog. Just some more encouraging music for girls. I've added some Britt Nicole, BarlowGirl, Bethany Dillon, Switchfoot and some others! :D I also left the old ones :)

And I took off the automatic play cuz I'm sure that drives some people absolutely, insanely crazy :P.

So anyway, I know I don't post much about God and important topics and such, but I just don't have any ideas :(
Our church is doing a new series of sermons on Acts, so I might follow along with that on here.
